A year at our school
Prefect Investiture
The new 2026 Prefects were inducted at the annual Prefect Investiture, held in the new library on Friday 29 August 2025. Our new prefect body continued the 50 year-long tradition of signing their name in the famous leatherbound book.
Sporting Excellence
Homebush Boys High School prides itself on its outstanding sporting abilities and success. It has a rich history of producing sporting champions such as Mitchell Starc and the late Phillip Hughes. This year saw plenty of on-field success in Grade Sport competitions. A notable achievement was winning our second major AFL competition in a row. The last two years has seen Homebush win the Stephen Coniglio Cup as well as the Bachar Houli Cup.
Academic belonging through instruction
Our 7 autism support classes engage in meaningful and rigorous learning experiences every day through our Morning Routine program, that allows all learners to experience success in through writing.

“I tell all my family members, I feel like I’m the smartest in my class... and that’s never happened to me before. I am usually the lowest of the low… I love being a Bushy Boy. I feel successful here. There’s a place for me”.
Iftar Night 2025
During Ramadan, our school celebrates our Muslim community by hosting Iftar night in the school hall. It is a large event attended by staff, community members, students and their families.
Homebush in Harmony Day 2025
Homebush Boys comprises of over 50 different cultures and nationalities, which are proudly celebrated at our annual Homebush in Harmony Day. Food from around the world and cultural performances are showcased on one of the school's biggest days of the year. Staff, students and the community look forward to this day every year.
