Dear parents and carers,
I would like to confirm with you that a member of our school community has tested positive for COVID-19. NSW Health have promptly assessed the situation and advised that there is no requirement to cease school operations.
Our school and NSW Health have been working closely to ensure the health and safety of all students and staff is maintained. This work has included identifying contacts of the confirmed case and communicating directly with them regarding their requirement to self-isolate.
NSW Health wishes to advise all families of students who travel from Strathfield Station to Homebush Boys HS of the following:
Students who were on the 714 bus from Strathfield Station to Homebush Boys HS on the mornings of Monday 15/11, Tuesday 16/11 and Wednesday 17/11 have been identified as a casual contact of someone who has tested positive to COVID-19.
Students who travelled home from the school on bus 712 to Strathfield Station and bus 913 from Strathfield Station to Hillcrest Ave Greenacre (3.37pm to 4.05pm) are also identified as casual contacts of someone who has tested positive to COVID-19.
These students should get tested immediately and self-isolate until they receive a negative result. Students need to monitor for symptoms and get them tested again if any develop.
NSW Health reminds anyone who has been unwell or if you develop any symptoms such as a fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, runny nose, loss of smell/taste, muscle/joint pains, diarrhoea, nausea/vomiting or extreme tiredness to be tested at one of the COVID-19 testing clinics.
