The following arrangements and advice are based on the current directives from NSW Health and the NSW Department of Education.
Homebush Boys High School will be operating through online learning from Tuesday 13 till Friday 16 July. Regular face to face classes will not be held. We will have staff at school to supervise students of families whose parents are essential workers and need to send their children to school.
During online learning, all lessons will be using the online platform their teacher has set up for them, whether it be Google Classroom or Moodle. We encourage students to check their email and online platforms everyday for work and information from their teachers.
Students will be allocated a unit of work to complete during the four days and this will be made available through the Google Classrooms/Moodle platform that will be uploaded at the beginning of the week.
Any staff, students or visitors to the school will need to wear a face mask as per NSW Health’s directive.
As stated by NSW health, any student, teacher or community member with any symptoms, or who is feeling unwell, should not attend school and should get a COVID test immediately. Anyone who has been off sick from school will be required to return a negative COVID test and be symptom free before being permitted to return to school.
Our main channel of communication with parents and carers will be our school Facebook site, website and email. Please check these regularly for updates. We encourage you to check these platforms at least once a day.
Please contact the school via the school email or phone (during school hours) if you have any questions about the arrangements for the start of term 3. The schools email address is : homebushbo-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au
The school is here to support you and your son’s continued learning during this challenging time. We thank you for your patience and we look forward to continuing to work with you during this lockdown period.
