Dear Parents/Guardians,
Homebush Boys High School is pleased to invite students in Years 7, 8 and 9 to apply to sit the ACER Higher Ability Selection Test. This test provides an opportunity for students to demonstrate their academic potential and be considered for placement in our Enrichment Class for 2025, catering to students entering Years 8, 9 and 10.
While this test is not mandatory, it offers an excellent opportunity for your child to showcase their academic abilities and possibly join an enriched learning environment alongside like-minded students.
Placement in the Enrichment Class will be based on the following criteria:
Half Yearly and Yearly Reports
Results from the ACER Higher Ability Selection Test (HAST), conducted at Homebush Boys High School
Important Dates:
The ACER Higher Ability Selection Test (HAST), will be conducted at Homebush Boys High School on:
- Monday 11 November 2024 - for students in Year 7
- Tuesday 12 November 2024 - for students in Years 8 and 9
Applications for the 2025 Enrichment Class must be submitted by 9:00 am, Friday 18 October 2024.
A payment of $80 for the ACER Higher Ability Selection Test is required via SchoolBytes to complete the application process.
